Our Ministry Philosophy

Imagine, lying on a boat on the Amazon River , looking into a black sky filled with millions of brilliant stars that shine so bright and seem so close that you could reach out and touch them. Imagine each of those bright stars representing the millions of lost souls spread out across the Brazilian Territory .

Ronnie Owens, Steven Mayle and Doug Criswell have seen the stars and have witnessed the lost in this foreign land. Though in this life they may never reach the stars, they have a vision of reaching the millions of lost souls. Through this vision came Harvest International Missions, H.I.M.

H.I.M. got underway in 2006 and in the first year we were able to see more than 5,000 souls saved to the kingdom of God . We have had the opportunity to start at least six churches in order for the new Brazilian Christians to continue to spread the word.

The bible tells us in Mathew 9:37, the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

The harvest truly is plentiful in Brazil and our goal is to recruit the laborers, to see students going to reach the young and old alike, to see church members willing to go who has never imagined themselves being part of a mission trip before. We read over and over again in the bible to simply, “Go”.

God has blessed us with a vision of making a mark on the world that can't be erased. He has given us fruits for our labor and He continues to provide the laborers to fill each trip. We've been blessed with people who feel that even though God hasn't called them to the mission field, they are still willing to be a part of the trips through financial support and prayer. The missions wouldn't be possible without both!
